68 of 102 Illinois counties publish a civil fee schedule we could read. Every amount below comes from that county's own circuit clerk schedule, and each county page shows the date on the schedule, a short quote and a link to it. We read them on Sep 28, 2026.
These are court fees, paid to the court in addition to what a lawyer charges. A firm's published price usually leaves them out. They change from time to time, so confirm the current amount with the circuit clerk before you file. See what a filing fee is.

- Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Clark, Clay, Crawford, Cumberland, DeWitt, Gallatin, Greene, Hardin, Henderson, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Livingston, Mason, Massac, McDonough, Pope, Putnam, Saline, Scott, Wabash. No civil fee schedule was found on the clerk's official site.
- Christian, Hamilton, Perry, Piatt, Pulaski, Union, Williamson. The clerk's site couldn't be read by our tools, so its schedule isn't included yet.
- Ford, Vermilion. Only a county ordinance listing amounts without saying which case types they cover was found.
- Morgan. The clerk's fee schedule link is broken.
