This page states how LawyerPricing operates so a listed lawyer can review it against their own professional-conduct obligations. It's a plain statement of our practices, not a regulatory filing and not legal advice.

What we charge

LawyerPricing charges only flat directory and marketing fees. We take no percentage of any fee and no referral fee, and no payment depends on whether a consumer hires a lawyer.

How listings are sorted

The default order is advertised price, lowest first, computed on our server. Users can re-sort by price, distance, or name. No listing can buy or change its position.

What we aren't

LawyerPricing isn't a law firm. It forms no attorney-client relationship and gives no legal advice. LawyerPricing doesn't recommend or endorse any lawyer on this site. We don't screen consumers or steer them to particular firms.

Listings and accuracy

Unclaimed listings show advertised prices taken from the firm's own public site, with the date and source. A firm can claim its listing free, correct a price, or ask for removal at any time.

Intermediary connecting services

Illinois treats a lawyer directory like this one as an intermediary connecting service. Lawyers listed on one have to check that it follows the state's rules, and they can rely on a written confirmation from the directory for most of them. Any firm that claims its listing on LawyerPricing can download that signed confirmation, in the firm's name, from the claim page.
